from the terror of flight and the gloom of the grave:

and the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave

o’er thend of the free and the home of the brave.

oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand

between their loved home and the war’s destion!

blest with victory and peace, may the heav’n rescuednd

praise the power that hath made and preserved us a nation.

then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,

and this be our motto:“in god is our trust.“

and the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave

o’er thend of the free and the home of the brave……”

“amazing grace! how sweet the sound!

that saved a wretch like me!

i once was lost but now i am found,

was blind but now i see.

was grace that taught my heart to fear

and grace my fears relieved;

how precious did that grace appear

the hour i first believed!

through many dangers, toils, and snares,

i have alreadye;

this grace has brought me safe thus far,

and grace will lead me home.

the lord has promised good to me,

his word my hope secures;

he will my shield and portion be,

as long as life endures.

yes, when this flesh and heart shall fail,

and mortal life shall cease;

i shall possess, within the vail,

a life of joy and peace.

a life of joy and peace.

the earth shall soon dissolve like snow,

the sun forbear to shine;

but god, who called me here below,

will be forever mine.”
